Graeme gained his degree in film, specialising in Cinematography, in Manchester. After leaving film school he has worked in the industry for over 20 years. Starting as a clapper loader and working his way up through the camera department, working on all kinds of jobs including, Commercials, Feature Films, TV Drama and Music videos. He served as Camera Operator for Director Shona Auerbach on her award winning debut Feature Film, Dear Frankie, and has subsequently been her Cinematographer ever since, shooting Commercials, and has just shot her next feature, Rudy, in the last year. He also has close working relationships with other directors, and enjoys repeated collaborations with them.
This is from the heart…Everyone needs a Graeme. Not only are his lighting and camera talents brilliant he’s also a fantastic person to have on set. Something that’s universally loved by those who get the chance to work with him is that not only does he have an ability to create beautiful pictures that serve the story but he’s also a brilliant person to have in your team because his self confidence, without ego, has a calming and unifying effect on those around him. There’s no situation that’s a problem and I’ve found he helps make me a better film maker. In short, he’s talented, focused and a nice guy. Everyone needs a Graeme.
